It's all about Jesus

In  Mathew 18:20 Jesus tells us,” For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them”

Are there two or more gathered here today in Jesus’ name?  Then Jesus is with us today, His presence is near you. You have another chance to know Him and to come to Him today.

It’s all about Jesus. Many affiliations try to sidetrack you; get you praying to Mary or the Saints or the Pope or your angel. They try to waste your time on man’s doctrines and traditions like the Pharisees did in Jesus’ time.  Satan tries to get your focus off of Jesus. It’s only Jesus Satan fears. But it’s also only Jesus that saves us and heals us and removes the demonic in us.

The Bible says Jesus is our way, Jesus is our truth and Jesus is our Life!

2 Corinthians 5: 21 tells us that God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God!

In John 3:16 the bible says that God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall be saved.
John 3:17 says, “For god did not send his son into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved through Him.” He is our only way of evacuation; He is our parachute. He is our shelter from the Storm. He is the only way our spirit stays out of hell when we die. If you don’t know Jesus, you are in big trouble and don’t even know it.

You might ask,  what storm, or Saved from what?  Revelation 20 says, Saved from death, Hell and destruction.

Jesus had to come and die on the cross for us; He was the only one pure enough and close enough to the God’s heart as His son to show us what a true loving father really is!

·      He was born of the Spirit

·      He was covered in the Flesh

·      He was tempted and tried in every way like you and I.

·      And like a pure sacrifice He died for your sins and mine.

·      He is our evacuation route. He is our parachute. Jesus is our only escape from the fires and torment of hell.
Understand HELL IS REAL. It exists today and hell receives a majority of the 150,000 spirits that depart this planet
every day.

The Bible says whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

1.     Jesus destroyed darkness,

2.     Jesus brings hope to the hopeless

3.     Jesus restores blind eyes

4.     Jesus heals the lame so they might walk again

5.     And Just like yesterday, today  He is calling out, "come to me, receive my life, and I will give you a way of escape!
Let  me be your parachute, put me on, keep me on and I will save you and heal you."

6.     Remember the story of the desperate woman who had many years of bleeding, and no doctor could heal her and she believed that if she could just touch the robe Jesus was wearing she would be healed. And she did.  And she was.
At the end Jesus said to her YOUR FAITH HAS
HEALED YOU.     It’s your faith that is important here folks. Jesus does His part if you do YOUR part. If you want to be healed you have to believe you WILL be healed.

A life without God feels alone, abandoned, and rejected. With God we have intimacy and acceptance.
Without God we feel guilt, and shame .            With God we have forgiveness of sins.
Without God we are in crisis and we feel alone.    With God there is help and comfort.
Without God we feel discouragement and despair. With God we have hope.
Without God we have death.       With god we have eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Without God we have low self esteem .      With God we have unconditional love and safety.
Without God we feel insignificant.   With God we have purpose and importance.

In
Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus says," Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

There is a story in Luke 7:36 that goes like this.

This story talks about the compassion of Jesus, His love, and His forgiveness, and  his ability to look past all of our sins and erase them and give us peace that goes beyond all understanding.

One day Jesus was eating at the house of a very important man, a religious man, and the Bible says a sinful woman heard that Jesus was near. So she responded by taking her most important valuable to him  and she ran beyond all those who had been invited and in natural eyes seemed to be more important than she. But in an act of desperation, because her life was void of the miracles and joy that those she had heard from those who had already encountered the savior, she threw herself at the feet and the mercy of Jesus, She had tried the world, she had tried to fill her heart with temporal pleasures but was left feeling empty inside, she had but one last hope. So with tears streaming down her face, she broke open the dearest most valuable thing she owned a jar of perfume. She then began to wash the master’s feet with her hair, and repeatedly kissed them over and over! And the Bible says Jesus forgave her and said to her “GO YOUR FAITH HAS SAVED YOU” and she began to follow Him the rest of her life.

In the Last two years of living here in Mexico my eyes and heart have opened to see more of life’s issues and struggles. Of people and at this moment in this time life’s struggles and problems that many of you have and are dealing with.

A few weeks ago Pastor Scott here probably experienced one of the most heart rendering aching weeks of his life. It began as he shared in the loss of one of our church members children in Jocotopec. Then one of our good Pastor friends had called him at 7:00 in the morning as he  was returning from the States and with hesitation and tears filling his voice, told him his son had just been run over by a truck and killed. In the next week he had prayed for 3 people with cancer, one of which has since passed away, another was his sister. Another was completely healed by Jesus. Doctors now find no trace of cancer in her. Why one and not the others. I do not know. We know Jesus heals and casts out demons today today through His followers just like He did 2000 years ago. But faith obviously has a lot to do with it.

Many of you today are struggling in your hearts. Some of you feel abandoned and rejected - It may have been from a family member that left you feeling rejected in life.
Or maybe some of you are dealing with guilt from bad decisions.
Or a crisis has happened that has left you wondering is God real and does he care for me?
Some of you today have been living with discouragement and despair... and death has been like a cloud forming around you affecting your relationships and your life.
Maybe you are dealing with low-self-esteem and are trying to fill it with wrong relationships, and your heart has been broken so much that you feel you have no more heart to give.
Or fear has invaded your thoughts, the way you think, and the way make decisions.
Or Your life is only based on temporary happiness.
And some of you today feel like a failure, you feel insignificant, to others and To God!

I want to share with you a very important truth today. The reason we feel this way is because God created us to find answers and solutions to these problems through HIM. Because you and I were created like Him for Him.

Your struggle ends when you accept Jesus into your heart. When you give Jesus the keys to your life. When you let Him lead the way, every day - not just once when you prayed a prayer. When you decide to walk the walk instead of just talking the talk and going about the ways of the world. Remember, you choose your own final destiny by what you believe and how you live your life now on earth before you die. There is no changing travel plans once you die. Once in hell there is never a chance for escape.

Remember, grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles. Every good tree bears good fruit, but every bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.  Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  You will know them by their fruits. What are the fruits of your life?
Do you keep all ten of God's commandments as best you can?  God doesn't expect perfection from us. But He DOES expect you get back up and get back on the narrow path when you slip. Do you help your fellow man whenever you get the chance? Do you harbor forgiveness issues against anyone in your life? God will not forgive you if you cannot forgive others. Do you witness your faith to others so that they might be saved from the fires of hell also?

Are you one who professes Jesus Christ as Lord but will spend an eternity in hell? Do you watch things you shouldn’t watch on television or the internet and laugh about the very things that God hates?  Do you wear clothing that is sensual? Do you talk like the world?  Do you walk like the world?  Do you love the music of the world?  Why do you think you are a Christian?  Because there was one time in your life when you prayed and asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart?

Being truly saved involves bearing good fruit, and wearing the parachute of Jesus, all the time.
There is one God; there is one mediator between God and man; and His name is Jesus Christ.  It’s not multiple choice. Not every road leads to Rome.  Jesus told the people, " I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me."

Enter through the narrow gate for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.  There is a narrow gate and there is a narrow path, traveled by those who bear good fruit, who continually bear good fruit. That doesn't mean practicing immorality and yet worshiping God in the same breath. If you claim to be a Christian does your life honor Jesus Christ?  Are you looking in His Word to find out how you’re supposed to live?

To be justified (forgiven) of our sins is solely a matter of grace. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9). Only by faith in salvation and the holy spirit working within us do we show that faith by the words, thoughts, actions, and deeds that constitute our works. Faith without works is dead. Works only happen if the justification is really truly appropriated.  But they are not OUR works.  Of ourselves we can do nothing.  Anything good we do -- truly good, from a motive of selfless love alone - is only because of the indwelling of Christ inside us via the Holy Spirit.  But we have to show our belief that we are truly saved by the fruit we bear. You must walk the walk and not just talk the talk if you really want to see those huge pearly gates.

Through Jesus, a new beginning was made possible for every sinner.  At any point in time, anyone desiring a brand new start can find it by calling on the name of Jesus. Jesus was crucified and hung as the accused in place of every sinner born or yet to be born.  He effectively became the opportunity for a new beginning in every life.  At the cross of Christ’s salvation, it does not matter what the crime or sin is – lying, cheating, adultery, murder, or prostitution.  What matters happens after the sinner repents – God writes his name in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and he becomes a new creation. This new beginning is not just for a day, a year, or even a lifetime – it lasts for all eternity!

If you have never  accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior – or if you have been running from God – why not stop now and start over with God?  Pray this prayer with me. You can think it, you can whisper it,
you can lip sync it, you can shout it! But pray this prayer for a new start with jesus.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to You today.  I come as a sinner.  I confess my sins to You.  From this day forward, I turn my back on sin.  I repent of my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save me, and rose again from the dead to give me new life.  I invite Jesus to live in my heart, to cleanse me from my sins, and to make me new.  Be my God, and let me be Your child.  Thank you for forgiving me.  Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and help me live a life that pleases You.
In Jesus name, Amen.

Welcome to the family of God! End of today’s message.
