The best place to get a free fax number is www.efax.com. In my home my computer shares the same phone line as my fax machine and since my computer is online 12 hours a day no one can send me a fax. By giving people my efax number, my faxes all come in to me as an email. It's FREE to "receive" faxes and you need the plus service to "send" faxes also which costs about $3/month to be able to "send" faxes also. I don't use this as if I need to send a fax I just shut my computer down and go send the fax and then get back on line. But if you don't have a fax machine this is a really cheap way to send faxes too.

and sign up for a free email account. This is good service, loads fast.
Use this to not jam up your regular email account if you are receiving ads from
e groups and forums and places like that. Your e-mail address will be
yourusername@usa.net
not yourusername@netaddress.net.

ACCESS YOUR REGULAR E-MAIL ACCOUNT FROM ANYPLACE IN THE US - FREE
This is a really neat service. Go to www.mailstart.com and enter in your regular email account ID and password and read your emails awaiting for you at your regular e-mail address (or netaddress for that matter), just as if you were at home but really you are at your Aunt Sally's computer three states away. You can copy and paste your emails to a pagemaker or word document and you can even print them out but you can't download them to Sally's e-mail folders.
