Updates are posted at a site given you when you make a spend. There have many many posts since 8-5, the treasure is within a few feet right now.

8-5 update Hello GBRP Treasure Hunters,

August 11th last date for new funding.
We have some good news and we also have an update from the site, which is still being inundated with storm water.... That update and photos at our URL.

But the good news (great news) is that we have found some major funding so now we can go ahead and purchase the equipment that we have really needed all along to make the recovery safer, quicker and easier. We will soon be able to get back into that tunnel to uncover and remove the "blue" with a vengeance!

So expect some exciting updates over the next few weeks. In the meantime, they are battling the weather and that is not so exciting - see latest photos.

Because we do have the funding sorted out now, we are closing it back up once and for all. However, since we did open up the funding we will remain open to further spends for the next 7 days (until August 11). We have decided to do this to be fair to all at this late stage in the project, but there will be no further opportunities to contribute to the project after this round of funding has closed. (This is for smaller spends as well as the 10k+ spends.) Spend info is found here: http://aurecoveryinfo.com/BerryBall.html

The Gold Bullion Recovery Project is advancing extremely well!
If you are already in it (you've sent in the disclaimer already) you will find an update at your safe-mail address and/or on the private site. I cannot talk about
it anymore on this site. You will have to get the info from your safemail account and from the website made for the members.  I will make an announcement here and in a newsletter if it again becomes open to new funding.
The last round of funding has now closed.

Just a brief overview:

We are collecting funds to support a gold recovery corporation from Canada in their excavation and recovery of gold bars. A project very similar to ours can be seen HERE:
http://www.yamashita-gold.com/

Some interesting history can be read HERE:
http://www.deepblacklies.co.uk/the_spoils_of_war.htm

There will be the possibility of further projects with this same corporation in the future. Even though they won't need funding once they hit gold, they will not be forgetting those that helped them over the last hurdle.
